Liberia-The New Republic Newspaper has reliably been informed that a 29-year-old man identified as Jackson Sivace has allegedly raped a 2-year-old child in upper Margibi County.

A police source who confided in this paper quoted the mother of the victim as saying that the incident occurred in Horton farm, Weala-Kakata Highway on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 07:00hrs.

The victim’s mother told the police source that she left her Horton Farm residence and went to Kakata on that fateful day to purchase “Pig Skin,’ leaving her two years old daughter in the Town, at which time Jackson allegedly took her daughter in the room and allegedly raped her, causing her to bleed profusely.

She further informed our police source that upon her return to the Town, she saw blood all over her daughter’s clothes and she immediately checked her daughter and it was discovered that she was being tempered with.

Wanting to hear from the house’s mouth and to know what was the cause of her bleeding, she asked her daughter, and the victim informed her that the accused (Jackson Sivace) took her into the room and used his penis on her.

Meanwhile, the suspect after allegedly achieving his goal, reportedly escaped to the bush while the victim was taken to the Woman and Children Protection Section (WACPS) of the Liberia National Police (LNP) in Kakata for investigation.

Latest information gathered from a family source states that a medical test is being conducted on the victim at one of the health facilities in Kakata, and the result is expected to be released on Monday.

The family source then said he cannot speak more on the issue on grounds that the result of the test has not been released, but promised to do so after the result is being released to the family and the WACPS by the hospital.
