President Boakai reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with Ghana.
Accra, Ghana – Liberian Leader Joseph Nyuma Boakai on today December 31, 2024 met with Ghana’s incoming President John Dramani Mahama in Accra as a means of strengthening ties and collaborate on key regional and international issues among the two countries, the Executive Mansion (EM) press release says.

“As Ghana embarks on this new chapter, Liberia stands ready to strengthen our ties and collaborate on key regional and international priorities.” President Boakai stated.
President Boakai reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with Ghana.
During the meeting, President Boakai lauded the peaceful and democratic nature of Ghana’s electoral process, describing it as a testament to the nation’s unwavering commitment to democratic principles.
The two leaders also discussed opportunities to bolster regional integration, security, enhance trade, and address shared challenges, including climate change, and economic growth.
President-elect Mahama expressed gratitude for the congratulatory message and visit and underscored his Administration’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s partnerships across the region, including with Liberia.
This meeting between the two statesmen reflects the enduring friendship and mutual respect between Liberia and Ghana, the Executive Mansion stated.
The meeting with Ghanaian Incoming President followed similar meeting with outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Afufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.
