Coach Asaad R. Fadel emphasized that the experience his athletes gained from their opponents would surely help them to win more LBA championship titles against their opponents in years to come.
According to Coach Fadel, Barrolle played in a group that had the champions from Ghana, Benin and Ivory Coast and they lost to Ivory Coast and Benin with 19 points and five points respectively but defeated Ghana with four points.
Says Fadel: “I’m happy that we had a good journey despite all the challenges we had because that was our first time to travel to another country for FIBA competition after three decades absent and so we are happy because our team is now at the point of greatness.”
He assures fans and sympathizers of bringing in foreign players to Barrolle squad before the resumption of the LBA 2025 national league, adding he is of the conviction that those foreign players would help to maintain Barrolle status at the top of the LBA first division table in years to come.
“I think next year Barrolle squad to come would be a tactical squad because we know exactly where to go for other Liberians in the diaspora that want to play for Barrolle in the LBA next season to come and I can assure you again that we are going to bring those players so that we can have a strong team against our opponents.”
Fadel revealed that it is only commitment and financial support, dedication and hard work and also to make sure that their athletes are in line to deliver the necessary victory for their team because it takes work to become champions and not just overnight work.
Coach Fadel paid homage to his athletes for their participation in the Basketball Africa League and hoped they would put into better use the experiences they gained from the league and used them against their opponents in other competitions to come.
