Rubavu District, Western Province, Rwanda – December 29-31, 2024 -The Liberian Community in Rwanda (LIBCOR), under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Emmanuel Patrick, has successfully hosted the All Liberian Festival 2024, a historic event celebrating unity, culture, and collaboration. The three-day festival, held in the scenic Rubavu District of Western Rwanda, brought together Liberians, friends of Liberia, and Rwandan communities to foster cultural exchange and community empowerment.
The All-Liberian Festival showcased the rich cultural heritage of Liberia through a vibrant lineup of activities, including:
Cultural Performances: Traditional dances, storytelling, and music reflecting Liberia’s diversity.
Panel Discussions: Addressing issues of diaspora engagement, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation.
Sports and Entertainment: Football and kickball matches, and Meet & Greet
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Emmanuel Patrick underscored the festival’s significance, stating:
“This event is not just a celebration; it is a symbol of our enduring spirit, culture, and resilience as Liberians wherever we may find ourselves. Together, we can achieve great things—not just for ourselves but for Liberia and the generations that follow.”
He further urged the diaspora to remain united and actively support Liberia’s development while embracing their role in the global community.
