Louisiana, Liberia, November 8, 2024 – A man believed to be in his 20’s, only identified as “ Sugarboy,” has died after being chased, beaten, and mobbed by a group of men in alleged suspicion over love affairs.

The Dramatic scene showed the deceased lying in a pool of blood after being beaten with sticks, planks, and a bench. When perpetrators noticed that the victim was unconscious, they immediately flew the scene.

Witnesses told the NEW DAWN that it was nearly 11 pm on Monday when a loud sound of quarrel broke out in the community “only to discover early morning Tuesday that Contractor ‘Sugarboy’ has died after being unmercifully beaten to death.”

Elijah Nyumah, Chairman of  Blama Wright Community, Louisiana Township, narrated that the late Nyemah Sunshine, alias “Sugarboy,” had gone to a lady identified as “Oneke Suah” for water after a hard working day, only to be followed by “Otis Dolo,” who is allegedly a boyfriend of “Oneka,” along with two of his brothers, identified as  Melvin Suah and Charleston Dolo. They reportedly beat their victim gruesomely, which led to his death.

The late “Sugarboy”, as he was affectionately known, is said to have been a construction contractor who worked over a year in Blama Wright Community, Louisiana Township, lower Johnsonville.

An eyewitness, Rose Gedeh, a nearby resident, told our reporter that upon hearing a loud noise in the community, they went to the scene only to notice that Otis Dolo, Melvin Suah, and Charleston were in a vehicle running away. They were immediately intercepted, stopped, and asked what had happened. They reportedly responded that the late Sugarboy was fighting and that they were going to call the police at about 11 p.m. Monday.

Madam Gedeh, narrates that it was then her fiancée advised that they await the morning hours, not knowing the men were already running away from the crime.

Meanwhile, the Liberia National Police (LNP) Depot #2 in Johnsonville, Montserrado County, has confirmed the arrest of suspect Charleston Dolo. At the same time, Otis Dolo and Melvin Suah are said to be on the run, but the investigation is pending. Editing by Jonathan Browne
