The Director of Social Welfare at NLA, Mohamed Kamara, lamented that the gesture was part of efforts to alleviate some of the challenges members of these organizations endure in providing food for their families.

Mr. Kamara noted that since the launch of the National Lottery Authority, it has rendered similar assistance to several vulnerable groups and institutions in other counties.

He stated that the goodwill by the National Lottery Authority is intended to put a smile on the faces of the needy, who continue to grapple with economic challenges.

Mr. Mohamed Kamara has pledged the institution’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and persons living with disabilities across the country.

The executive Director of the National Lottery Authority has meanwhile unveiled plans to extend the distribution exercise to nine of Liberia’s fifteen counties.

Our Nimba County correspondent confirmed that the gesture will benefit six institutions in the county including the School of the Blind, the Christian Foundation Deaf Community School, the National Union Organization of the Disable in Sanniquellie and three orphanages in Ganta among others.
