Monrovia, November 28, 2024: Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan has declared his assets and made them public. Photocopies of his declared assets were seen on social media on Wednesday, November 27.
According to his assets declaration form, Minister Ngafuan has a total asset value of $533,850. These include his gross salary of $69,000 annually, savings across banks including ECOBANK $50,870, United Bank of Africa (UBA)- Liberia $8,540, and Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI) $440.
Also included are his liabilities, outstanding loans, residential properties, value of $276,000, vacant plots of land, pension benefits at $165,000, and cash on hand of $4,300, among others.
Minister Ngafuan also mentioned that he owns several vehicles, including the used 2017 Nissan Patrol Jeeps worth $21,000, Boats, aircraft, machinery, and several other real estate properties.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ngafuan’s assets declaration comes in fulfillment of President Joseph Nyuma Boaka’s call for government officials to declare their assets.
President Boakai said this is intended for accountability and transparency in his government.
