Hundreds of rural citizens of Ngojah Town in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County, jubilated and expressed gratitude as they were formally presented with a land title deed for their town by the Liberia Land Authority (LLA) on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
LLA Chairman J. Adam Manobah, at a well attended ceremony in Ngojah Town, presented the Ngojah land deed to Grand Cape Mount County Representative Gbessie Sonii Feika, which was subsequently turned over to the Town Chief, Alhaji Jabateeh Golafale.
Manobah commended citizens of Ngojah for the great undertaking and remaining steadfast in establishing legal ownership of their land.
He spoke of the need for unity amongst rural dwellers especially in Grand Cape Mount County, if they are to achieve any meaningful goals of development.
Receiving the land title deed, Grand Cape Mount County Representative Gbessie Sonii Feika thanked the LLA for the immense support and cooperation in making the Ngojah citizens’ dream a reality.
Town Chief Alhaji Jabateeh Golafale also expressed gratitude upon receipt of the deed to both the LLA and Representative Gbessie Sonii Feika and especially to his people for remaining resolute in their quest for legal title over the past 20 years.
The well-celebrated ceremony also brought together citizens, elders, and chiefs from the surrounding towns, who also thanked officials of the Liberia Land Authority and Representative Gbessie Sonii Feika for the landmark achievement.
The citizens spoke of Representative Gbessie Sonii continuous support and tireless efforts in always identifying with the needs of her people and referenced her tireless efforts in helping to obtain the title land deed for Ngojah town.
