Background:
The National Road Fund (NRF) was established to finance road and bridge maintenance works and associated planning, programming, and management activities. The NRF’s governance includes approving the Annual Road Maintenance Expenditure Program, which involves agencies authorized to undertake road and bridge works in Liberia. The NRF operates an administrative structure that manages the disbursement of funds for these purposes.
Scope of Work:
- Donor Cultivation and Communication:
- Support the cultivation of relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging donor communications, including newsletters, reports, and updates.
- Assist in donor scheduling of donor/prospect meetings, communicate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timely preparation, and record accurate meeting minutes and actions points.
- Grant Management:
- Work closely with the Resource Mobilization Strategist to manage grant timelines, reporting requirements, and deliverables.
- Event Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events including virtual and in-person gatherings.
- Collaborate with the communications team to promote events and engage participants effectively.
- Database Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and prospect information in the NRF’s system.
- Generate reports and analyze fundraising data to support decision-making
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research on fundraising trends, potential donors, and best practices.
- Create donor profiles and meeting briefs.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of fundraising strategies
7 Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program, communication, and finance, to ensure alignment in resource mobilization efforts.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agenda, and provide administrative support as needed.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Senior Resource Mobilization Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Public Administration, or Development Studies)
- 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource mobilization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to various audiences.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with donor management systems and tools.
- Experience in planning and executing events related to fundraising or donor engagement.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights into donor trends.
