River Gee, Liberia, November 25, 2024 – River Gee County Senator, Francis S. Dopoh, II, donated a thirty-two (32) seated Hyundai bus and Toyota Corolla to both the administration and driving department of the River Gee Vocational and Technical Training Institute (RGVTTI).

The Hyundai bus is for the administration, while the Toyota Corolla is to be used for practical session in the TEVET institution.

Senator Dopoh’s office encourages students at the River Gee Vocational and Technical Training Institute to make use of the “golden opportunity” aimed at collaborating together in developing the county, adding that River Gee is the center of the southeastern counties.

The donation is an effort to mitigate transportation challenge students encounter in transporting themselves to campus in Sarbo Sweaken and an annex in Fishtown City.

The official presentation, which took place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the county, brought together administrative staffs, students, citizens and officials from the Senator’s office.

According to the office of Senator Dopoh, the donation is in fulfilment of his campaign promises during the 2023 Presidential and Legislative elections.

The senator’s office recalls that during the elections, they promised the people of River Gee County that within nine years, the county could afford quality and better education.

“We believe that with these technical skills, lot of our young people in the county will acquire capacity building. We want to make this clear that, it does not mean that we do not have interest in other tertiary institutions, but we are concerned about the technical skills as a county to have comparative advantages in human resource development”, the office notes.
