——– Pursues Legal Action against Social Media Advocate Dream Debo and Others
Lower Margibi, Liberia – P. Sonie Flomo, CEO of SYMMETRIX Management and Consulting Solutions, Inc., has taken legal steps against Dream Debo and five others over allegations of fraud and misconduct involving visa services. Flomo dismissed the claims as baseless and defamatory, urging the accused to face justice.
In a series of social media posts, Dream Debo, a self-proclaimed advocate, accused SYMMETRIX of scamming clients seeking travel visas, including failing to refund unsuccessful applicants. Debo also claimed to have received evidence from purported victims, displaying receipts allegedly signed by Flomo. These accusations gained traction online, prompting a robust response from the SYMMETRIX CEO.
Returning to Liberia on December 19, 2024, via Roberts International Airport, Flomo refuted the allegations as “misleading, fake, and unfortunate.” He attributed the accusations to ignorance and an attempt to tarnish his reputation and that of SYMMETRIX.
“This self-styled advocate, sitting outside Liberia, connects to free Wi-Fi and spews gibberish on social media,” Flomo said. He clarified that his recent trip to the United Kingdom was for academic purposes, not to evade allegations. “I’m here in Liberia, having completed my studies in financial management, and I await my graduation,” he emphasized.
On December 17, 2024, the Monrovia City Court issued a writ of arrest against Dream Debo, Kemi O. Koon, Boakai Kamara, William Will, Winnie Tarsiah, and Arson V. Kamara, following a complaint by Flomo and SYMMETRIX’s General Manager, Alanzo P. Lavalie. The complaint accused the individuals of defamation and threats against Flomo and his company.
Court documents reveal that the allegations stemmed from a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by clients, including Boakai Kamara, outlining payment terms for visa application assistance. Flomo emphasized that all terms are explained to clients, including a clause stating, “There will be no refund unless both application attempts are unsuccessful.”
Flomo noted that SYMMETRIX has processed numerous successful applications, including four visa approvals in the last 30 days. He reiterated the company’s commitment to professionalism and transparency. He also urged the public to verify information before accepting accusations circulated on social media.
“These so-called advocates misuse public sentiment, spreading misinformation without research,” Flomo said. “Our work speaks for itself. We continue to serve clients with integrity and contribute to Liberia’s development.”
Debo, currently residing abroad, has announced plans to return to Liberia later this month. Flomo welcomed the opportunity to address the allegations in court. “The day he steps foot on Liberian soil, we will ensure justice prevails,” Flomo vowed.
SYMMETRIX remains steadfast in its operations, announcing the enrollment of 15 new clients and reaffirming its dedication to delivering credible and reliable services.
